• How to keep anger at bay
• How to not worry
6. A strong, healthy and fulfilling
relationship begins with YOURSELF!
Question:
When you meet the RIGHT one, are you the
RIGHT one that your RIGHT one is looking for?
7. A strong, healthy and fulfilling ME precedes
a strong, healthy and fulfilling WE.
A godly ME, precedes a godly WE.
9. 1. It begins with us ACCEPTING who we
are in God
“I will give thanks to Thee, for I’m fearfully and
wonderfully made…” (Ps 139:14, NASB)

13.
14. 1. It begins with us ACCEPTING who we
are in God
2. It begins with us KNOWING and
PURSUING God as a single
15. “I wish I knew when I was single”…
• Can be single longer, make more close
friends and serve God more
• Being single has its own set of freedom
and fun
16. “I wish I knew when I was single”…
• To have good financial foundation while
in college
• To build character during singlehood and
maximize the time for self-development
17. We continually ask God to fill you with the
knowledge of his will through all the wisdom
and understanding that the Spirit gives, so
that you may live a life worthy of the Lord
and please him in every way: bearing fruit in
every good work, growing in the knowledge
of God, being strengthened with all power
according to his glorious might so that you
may have great endurance and patience…
Colossians 1:9-12
18. 1. It begins with us ACCEPTING who we
are in God
2. It begins with us KNOWING and
PURSUING God as a single
3. It begins with us BUILDING a strong
and godly character
19. “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of
evil. Some people, eager for money, have
wandered from the faith and pierced
themselves with many griefs. But you, man of
God, flee from all this, and pursue
righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance
and gentleness.”
1 Tim 6:10,11
20. “For this very reason, make every effort to add
to your faith goodness; and to goodness,
knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and
to self-control, perseverance; and to
perseverance, godliness; and to godliness,
mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.
For if you possess these qualities in increasing
measure, they will keep you from being
ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge
of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 1:5-8
21. “I wish I knew when I was dating”…
It’s really about the FEAR OF GOD and
the CONVICTION we have during the
courtship. A lot of things we knew but
we still do because our hearts toward
God are not strong….
22. “I wish I knew when I was dating”…
Therefore, to have a healthy courtship is
really based on our relationship with God
NOT about whether the person is the
right one or not.
Stop praying for the right person, pray
that you become the right person
instead!
24. “I wish I knew when I was single”…
•Dating for the sake of “status” only leads to
disaster
•Using “I want to bring my unbelieving partner
to God” reason is not wise as it doesn’t work
most of the times and more often will cause
bigger issues
25. “I wish I knew when I was single”…
•To seek counsel before dating someone
•Need to be wise to show care to girls as they
might interpret differently. I should have learnt
about my depravity behind this behavior as I
sought and enjoyed the attention
30. “I wish I knew when I was dating”…
• Better pacing on purpose, emotion,
spiritual growth together as a couple
• To keep the relationship pure and
exciting at the same time Christ-centered
• Don’t try to change my partner
31. “I wish I knew when I was dating”…
• Going on date for movies is not really
getting to know one another
• The importance of accountability
• Sexual temptation is often underestimated
• A greater guard upon physical and
emotional boundaries
32. “Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord
Jesus Christ, and do not think about how
to gratify the desires of the flesh.”
Romans 13:14

offers salvation to all people. It teaches us
to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly
passions, and to live self-controlled,
upright and godly lives in this present age”
Titus 2:11,12
