2.  The transformation of concrete into decorative
concrete is achieved through the use of a variety of

 When we hear the word concrete ,we probably picture
structural elements like footings, foundations and
slabs. Whatever we picture the material is smooth and
gray.
 There are lots of ways to transform this common
structural elements into decorative elements.

flooring, their bank account will break. They thought
that hard wood and natural stones are quite
expensive.
Fortunately for them concrete now become as a
innovative decorative methods which are not
only gorgeous but much affordable.

9. Stamped concrete is the process of adding
texture and color to concrete to make it resemble
stone, brick and slate.

10. Concrete dyes take many different forms and
compositions and can be used on both residential and
commercial concrete applications, including sound/
retaining walls, bridges, countertops, floors.

11. Acid staining is not a dyeing or pigment base
coloring systems, but a chemical reaction. A mixture of
water, mineral salts and a slight amount of muriatic acid is
applied to the concrete surface.

12. These are similar to acid staining in the sense
that one can still achieve a traslucent look like acid.

13. Experiment with acrylic paint resins as modifiers
for cement and sand mixes. The result was a thin
cementious topping material that would adhere to
concrete surfaces and provide a newly resurfaced
coating.

grinders and diamond pads of increasing grit sizes.

 Easy to clean and requires little maintenance.
DISADVANTAGES
 If the concrete is not sealed on both top and bottom
surfaces, it is susceptibility to penetration by moisture.

19. We get the flooring as we dreamed of, we don’t
have to resort to natural stones or other expensive
materials. With a little creativity and some work,
get almost the same result for a fraction of the
cost.
