Use and sequence a range of learning experiences to influence and promote
                                             learner achievement

How I met the professional practice GTS 4b
           Mathematics Measurement unit

+ Activities provided an inclusive classroom climate.

  + Used Informed focussed planning.

+ Used a variety of assessment methods.

+ Children involved in solving problem-centred activities.

+ Activities relevant to the children’s everyday lives and the
 topical world around them.

+ Children worked in mixed ability groups allowing for equity.

+ This allowed for the expectations of each group to be the
 same.

+ Responsive lessons as I connected with working students

As per the mathematics standards “effective maths teaching”
Artifact One

Planning- I have selected this artifact
as it demonstrates my ability to...

+ Sequence learning activities.

+ Make links between short term and
  long term planning.

+ Provide a range of activities.

+ Modify activities to promote achievement
  for all learners
From Long Term T Short T

capacity and mass.
Artifact Two

An I-Movie- I have selected this
artifact as it demonstrates my ability
                                  to...

        	           + Provide problem centered
            	       activities.

	                   + Provide different activities
	                   that use the same skill
	                   therefore promoting
	                   achievement.

    	               + Provide hands on learning
                	   experiences that engage
                	   students and therefore
	                   influence their achievement.
Artifact Three

    Assessment sheet- I have
                 selected this artifact as it
                demonstrates my ability to...

         + Determine the children’s
                    starting point.

	                 + Monitor and clarify
                   the children’s existing and
                   new understandings.

    	             + Identify those children who
                   are achieving and those who
            	     	 need further help.

+ See the effect the learning
	                  experiences are having on the
                   children.
Graduating Teacher Standard 6c
Build effective relationships with their learners

How I met the professional practice GTS 6c

+ Being available to talk to before and after school.

+ By interacting with students on school trips.

+ By having a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards the
 students and their learning.

+ By being genuinely interested in the children’s interests and
backgrounds and provide linking learning experiences.

+ Being responsive and respectful of the children e.g. knowing
 and using their names.

+ Getting to know the parents in order to get to know the
 children better.

+ By celebrating successes and supporting difficulties.
Artifact One

  Wordle- I have selected this
artifact as it allows me to talk about
       the knowledge needed

+ The importance of understanding the
      students as a whole package

+ Being involved in the meet the teacher at
the start of the year gave me some insight

+ As did the three way conferences.

+ I was able to build a more effective
relationship when I had insight into their
                  worlds.
Artifact Two

 Photo of School Trip
I have selected this artifact as it
allows me to talk about the skills
                needed...

  + Building effective relationships through
           shared experiences.

+ By being a constant in an environment of
                 change.

+ By seeing and sharing in a different side
         of the child’s personality

+ By being able to see and support learning
          outside the classroom.
Artifact Three

Photo of Flag - I have
       selected this artifact as it
    demonstrates the dispositions
                  needed

+ I made myself available to the children
and parents before and after school .

        + I Listened before speaking.

+ I showed that I trusted the children to make
their own choices and they reciprocated

+ I was able to build effective relationships
when the children knew I had time for them.
I Believe...
Every child can make progress and have success.

By using hand on experiences is one way students are being taught as a whole
                                   person.

Relationship is a Key Ingredient needed to have a successful teaching and
                            learning partnership

Knowing where children are at, and where they are going to is essential to
                       promote learner achievement.

Modeling the dispositions of a learner and showing a passion for learning is
                                 contagious.
