Presentation from Creativity Summit in Sweden 2023. I invited participants to dive deeply into research on Large Language Models and the design of creative AI tools. My goal was to show how Generative AI lowers the bar for people to create images, videos, and music. However, I recognized the need to design generative AI tools that enhance and respect creatives' attribution and agency. I concluded my talk by acknowledging that we still have several open questions about ethics, intellectual property, and carbon footprint when it comes to using these technologies and invited the creatives in the room to play an active role in the next steps.

AI may play important roles in in
fl
uencing human social dynamics:
1) implicitly seeding a common ground at the start of collaboration,
2) acting as a psychological safety net in creative risk-taking,
3) providing a force for group progress,
4)mitigating interpersonal stalling and friction,
5) altering users’ collaborative and creative roles.
