9. Need for more distance learning options
Barriers to WWAMI In-person sessions
• Limited time for students to complete modules
• Time constraints on faculty
• Students are geographically spread out
Needed more content delivery tools…
• ZOOM:
– Online conferencing technology similar to Adobe Connect
– Up to 50 participants
– Limitations for small group breakout sessions
10. Future Plans:
• Continue to recruit more regional faculty to run
WWAMI In-person sessions
• Gather more data and do more formal analysis
• Work with UWSOM IT to test new conferencing
technologies available for engaging students
• Request additional features directly to ZOOM
software engineers.

In Seattle, we pilot new modules and offer in-person modules sessions for pathway credit.
This worked before worked before because all students came to Seattle for second year.
THERFORE our NEW challenge was provide in-person modules for WWAMI students THROUOUGHT the year. To do this we need to work with regional faculty.
Lead into next slide on CONTENT DELIVERY…WWAMI In-person modules became a requirement because of a new TRUST requirement...

Methods further described on next few slides.
NOTE: Facilitators guide is modeled after FCM format for educators. Helps make it easier for faculty to deliver content if in a format they are used to seeing.
Both – 15 minutes includes travel time
Debrief – Jaime 5 minutes
