3. The Kroc Center
Located on 1865 Bill Frey Drive, The Kroc Center is a great place to go
swimming, rock climbing, as well enjoy other fitness activities.
4. Bush Park
Located on 600 Mission Street, Bush Park is a great place take your dog for
a walk, to go jogging, or even have a family picnic. There are also various
community events including Cross Country meets held at Bush Park that
bring the community together.
5. The Gilbert House
Located on 116 Marion Street, The Gilbert House is one of the three
museums you can explore when visiting A.C. Gilbert’s Discovery Village. Its
mission is to “inspire Children of all ages to learn and grow through play.”
6. Salem Public Library
Located on 585 Liberty Street, The Salem Public Library offers book resources,
including encyclopedias, novels, atlases, as well as music and video media.
There are also story time sessions held throughout the week, as well as other
events including books sales and “Author talk and Book Signing”.
7. Oregon’s Capitol Building
Located on 900 Court Street, the Oregon State Capitol Building
offers a free tour Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm. While on
tour, you can explore the art, historic, and rock/mineral museums
as well as visit the gift shop.
