1. UPCOMING PHARMA PROJECT IN
INDIA

2. Intas Pharmaceuticals
• Intas Pharmaceuticals planning an expansion of
its bulk drug manufacturing unit at Village
Matoda, dist. Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The project
will come up in the existing building. Anand
Environmental Consultants, Ahmedabad, is the
environmental consultant. The capacity is to be
augmented from 6,300 kgs/yr to 24,079 kgs/yr.
• The cost of the expansion is Rs. 40 million.
Machinery is yet to be ordered. The project is
awaiting environmental clearance.

3. Piramal Enterprises
• Project: Planning expansion of its active pharma ingredients
manufacturing unit
• Capacity : From 363.22 TPM to 450.05 TPM
• Location: Digwal Village, dist. Medak, Telangana
• Cost: Rs. 2.5 billion
• Project Details: According to MoEF sources, effluent generated from
the plant are treated and reused. Sludge from effluent treatment plant
and salts from MEE & ATFD shall be sent to TSDF. All effluents
generated in plant will be treated in the zero liquid discharge (ZLD)
system. The treated effluent shall be reused for cooling towers, boiler,
washings and scrubbers.
• Current Status: The project is waiting for environmental clearance.
Work on the project is expected to commence in H2 2015 and is
scheduled for completion in H2 2016.

4. Divis Laboratories
• Status: Planning Stage
• Promoter: Divis Laboratories
• Project: Plans a bulk drug manufacturing project
• Location: Near Kakinada, dist. East Godavari, Andhra
Pradesh
• Project Details: The initial investment in the project is
Rs. 5000 million. The company made an application to
the Government Of Andhra Pradesh for allotment of
land near Kakinada and is awaiting response. This will
be the company’s third manufacturing site.

5. • Status: Under Implementation
• Promoter: Mylan Laboratories
• Project: Expansion of its active pharmaceutical
ingredient-manufacturing project
• Location: MIDC Taloja, dist. Raigad, Maharashtra
• Project Feature: The expansion is at the company
existing plant premises and involves installation
of new machinery.
• Current Status: Environmental clearance has been
received. Machinery erection is under progress.

6. Shimoga Life Sciences
• Status: Planning Stage
• Promoter: Shimoga Life Sciences
• Project: Planning synthetic organic chemicals & herbal products unit
• Capacity : 300-400 TPA
• Location: Village Attivaram, dist. Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore, Andhra
Pradesh
• Cost: Rs. 50 million
• Current Status: The project is waiting for environmental clearance.
Work on the project will start after receipt of environmental
clearance.

7. Anvitha Life Care
• Status: Planning Stage
• Promoter: Anvitha Life Care
• Project: Bulk drugs & intermediates manufacturing
unit.
• Capacity: 200 TPA
• Location: Village Athivaram, dist. Sri Potti Sriramulu
Nellore, Andhra Pradesh.
• Project Detail: The project will spread over 4.5 acres.
The project is waiting for environmental clearance.
• Current Status: Civil work is expected to commence
after 4 or 5 months. The project is planned for
completion in June 2015.

8. Balaji Formulations
• Status: Planning Stage
• Promoter: Balaji Formulations Pvt Ltd
• Project: Bulk drugs and intermediates manufacturing
unit
• Capacity: 228 TPA b
• Location: Unit-III, Village Machanpally, dist. Nalgonda,
Andhra Pradesh.
• Cost: Rs. 30 million to Rs. 50 million
• Current Status: The project is waiting for
environmental clearance and is planned for completion
in 1 year from zero date. 7.5 acres of land has been
acquired. Rightsource Industrial Solutions is the
consultant. Equipment supplier has been appointed.
