2. Whats in a Name
Brand Name Background
• DHall Events is an Arkansas based Events/Entertainment boutique located in the
heart of the state, in the capitol; Little Rock, Arkansas offering services in the
Central to Northwest Arkansas Demographic.
• The name of the company comes from my own personal name because in a Field
with many independent competitors and nightlife venue owners, i wanted to
have something that would distinguish me from my competitors who offer a
similar product. The issue i face with my company is that their are many people
who offer a product close to what i provide but the quality and consistency in
which i provide the product is never matched. This made me want to develop a
logo that would display and help differentiate to my customers as to why my
product is better and can’t be replicated. This ideology led me to my own
signature, something that is mine and that no one cant take away from me.
Although a signature can be copied a signature is something that can come close
to being replicated, but can never be duplicated. A signature is something that is
unique in style and is its own trademark, that is why i chose DHall Signature
events.
3. The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
The Pros and Cons
• Pros of the company is that it is a unique name and style for an events company because
there is only one me in the Central Arkansas to Northwest Arkansas Region, it is also a
great name for branding purposes because in essence not only is my company a product, I
become a product as well, because my name is attached to the company. It also adds a
whole other component to marketing and branding me/my company.
• A big negative is that i am only one person and although i can have a team to assist me, i
have to be much more selective in who i choose to assist me and the events i take on for
two main reasons. Every event or production i do is an extension of me because my name is
in the logo and it is impossible to disassociate myself with a failed event or production.
Secondly i am one person and although i can have a team to assist me i have to make sure
there is no decrease in event or service quality.
4. • The name of my company would be
protected under the USPTO but more
importantly in Arkansas where my company
will provide service.
• My company name is suggestive in its name
and having a tagline of “signature upscale
events” lets you know what kind of service
i provide!

• The Law of Shape is followed because this
logo is a horizontal logo.The logo fits into a
horizontal box.

More Laws
Within my Logo i used colors that i thought followed the laws of color and portrayed the
image of my company.
• I used Black, White and Orange.
• Black is the color of luxury, which relates to upscale, the name i used in my events company.
• White is neutral and is the color of purity, like a wedding gown which is a special event.
• Orange is more like red than blue and red is a in your face attention grabbing color, where
as blue is more tranquil and laid back. These colors appear to move at you as your looking
at it!
7. • My logo is effective because it does just enough to catch your attention and
let you know who powered the event your attending but it doesn’t take
away from the event itself.
• I also think this logo is highly effective because it is my name and being that
my company will service Arkansas and this company is a Arkansas based as
well as Arkansas not being that large of a state, i can build my brand rather
quickly and it will be alot more efficient in company branding than if i was in
a New york or a California.

Rock committed to growing the
Entertainment scene offering a variety of
events to the Urban Arkansas Committee
9. • This Company uses Orange and white for its
colors, which i find to be highly effective. The
downside is the logo does not let you know
anything about what services they provide or what
kind of company they are.
10. Corporate Culture
• The purpose of this company is to create a style of entertainment that is
edifying as well as entertaining and provide a style of entertainment that
hasn’t been done in this demographic.
• Planning networking events that create a platform for the urbane
sophisticate to explore the latest in business,education, fashion,
music, and entertainment all while surrounded by a group of business
savvy peers.
• The only way to make sure of the quality in corporate culture because
I am the main person is to always strive to provide quality events with
my own signature touch. If i stay true to providing quality i do not
believe i will fail in my efforts.

• My tagline and my mission statement is one
in the same. It is simple yet easy to
remember. “Signature Upscale Events” This
speaks to what kind of business i am and
how i will provide my services. This is a
promise to myself and to my customers to
provide quality and a signature touch in
every event that my event/entertainment
firm will handle.

that is used would attract what would be
