on Cerebral Palsy

Mental and Physical Activity are Imperative
Bled, Slovenia, 15 - 18 May 2013

6. 60% of people
live in poverty
46% child live
in malnutrition
1.4-5.2% youngs
use of drugs
cocaine and
marihuana
41% alcoholism;
these last interfere
with
the absorption
of nutrients
11. Resorting to the Data of
Health and Surveillance
Epidemiological and
Nutritional System
we intend to verify the
percentages of underfed
33% children
27% women
12. This is the principle
cause of morbidity
and these data are
one of higher than
Andean countries
Natural foods like vegetables
and meats are rich of vitamins
and iron but they aren’t common
in their base alimentation
13. Base Alimentation
high
consumption of
carbohydrates
low
supply of proteins
14.4% calories
by animal origin
a food deficit
of more than 400
calories per day
14.
15. Malnutrition:
is correlated with
sideropenic anemia
for iron and vitamins
deficiency
In fact more of half
children with anemia
70% under 5 years age
require
"flour
of supplementation"
16. LABEL OF “PITO DE QUINUA”
The pito is a form of eating cereal.
It is an Andean technology that
ensures the assimilation of the
nutrients without cause heaviness
in the stomach. There are cereals
that in addition to feed the human
being will serve to cure some
diseases, it is the case for:
Pito cañawa
Pito cebada
Pito maranto
It is the flour of the quinoa rich in
protein, phosphorus, iron, suitable
for breastfeeding women
1 € = 9.0981 Bolivians
8,00 € = 72,78 Bolivians
Girls work for 200-230
Bolivians/month
When the minimum
wage in Bolivia is of
460 Bolivians
17. 50% of pregnancy women have :
sideropenic anemia by iron deficiency
megaloblastic anemia by folate deficiency
These phenomena induce:
55% miscarriage,
12% low birth weight for delay of intrauterine
growth / premature births / neuronal tube defects
30. This Project wants to prevent, at an
early age, anemias by nutritional
deficiency affect cerebral palsy with
physical and mental disabilities
specifically in preterm
Other symptoms are irritability,
mental confusion, instability in the
movements and numbness or
tingling in the hands and feet in child
31. It is also found that in the
case of severe sideropenic
anemia for a deficiency of
vitamin-C:
Children must be
supplemented with iron and
multivitamins tablets to
reduce the risk of mortality
by frequent respiratory
infections
In addition to treat the
fatigue, muscle weakness,
restless leg syndrome, poor
attention, concentration,
disorders of learning and
behaviour
32. Malnutrition and Low
Learning are important
signs of Bad Quality of Life
Data show the regions of
Social and Economic
Problems in Andean
Population and how
they influence the future
of their generation
So Malnutrition and
Mortality of Children and
Mothers are combined and
they describe the sever
situation in which this
people survives
