o Patients are often qualified at another facility at a date later than
your facilities DOS
o Provides a backup (failsafe) to your onsite eligibility service
Service provided on periodic basis - monthly
Service provided on contingency basis – no risk to facility
o if we don’t discover any eligible accounts no payment
Facility is provided with list of eligible accounts to bill
