Jesus teaches Nicodemus that one must be "born again" or "born from above" to enter God's kingdom. He explains that being born of water refers to natural birth, while being born of the Spirit is a spiritual rebirth by God's Spirit. This is necessary because flesh gives birth to flesh but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. Later signs, like the Holy Spirit descending on Jesus, demonstrate being born of the Spirit. Jesus was sent by God into the world not to condemn it but to save it, and all who believe in Him will have eternal life and not perish.

Born from above==============================
1. YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN
GOD DID THIS SO THAT WE COULD BE SAVED DESPITE OUR WEAKNESSES
John chapter 3: verse 2. (JESUS TEACHING NICODEMUS) “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher
who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with
him.”
verse 3. Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are
born again. [The Greek for again also means from above); "unless they are born from above"
verse 4. “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot
enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”
verse 5. Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they
are born of water and the Spirit.
verse 6. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised
at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’
born of water=natural birth; (flesh gives birth to flesh).
Born of the Spirit=Spirit gives birth to spirit, our spiritual rebirth, born of God's Spirit (in the bible
Spirit, written with a capital letter, is God's Spirit and spirit written with a non capital letter is,
our spirit, which is born in this world.
We are a three part being. We are spirit, soul and body.
spirit=our true being
soul=our mind our will, and our emotions, (what we think with=our mind ,what we decide
with=our will, and what we feel with=our emotions).
body=the flesh part of man, in which, we, our spirit being, functions in this earth.
verse 7. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’
verse 8. The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it
comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
accepting and believing Jesus, is a guarantee that you are born from above, but the above (verse
8) is a physical manifestation, a result, what happens, how you KNOW, that you have been born
again of God's Spirit.
(That Is what happened to Jesus when the Holy Spirit descended down on him after he was
2. baptized in water by John, the baptist in Luke chapter 3 verse 22. and the Holy Spirit descended
on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven declaring : “You are my Son,
whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”)
verse 9. “How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.
verse 11. Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen,
but still you people do not accept our testimony. (our testimony, God the father, God the son,
and God, The Holy Spirit)
verse 12. I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you
believe if I speak of heavenly things?
verse 13. No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of
Man. (Jesus, 'God', being born in this world as a man living in this cursed world)
verse 14. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted
up, (lifted up on the cross and raised up to heaven )
verse 15. that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” (the reason why Jesus had
to be lifted up and killed on the cross; to save those who believe in him)
verse 16. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes
in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (eternal life for those who believe in him)
verse17. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the
world through him. (Romans chapter 8 verse 1. there is now, no condemnation to those who
belong to Christ Jesus)
verse 18. Whoever believes in him is not condemned (not counted among the sinners), but
whoever does not believe stands condemned already (counted among the sinners) because they
have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
verse 19. This is the verdict: Light (God) has come into the world, but people loved darkness
instead of light because their deeds were evil.
verse 20. Everyone who does evil hates the light , and will not come into the light for fear that
their deeds will be exposed. (guilty conscience, fear of being judged and condemned, By God)
verse 21. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that
what they have done has been done in the sight of God. (God already knows and knew before
we were born what we have done. He made it easy to be saved, 'BELIEVE IN HIS SON, JESUS'
