2. History
• Ram is an independent record label established in 1992 by Andy C, it is one
of the major labels specialising in drum and bass. The label and business
today is run Andy C and business partner Scott Bourne (Red One).
• As well as Ram's musical output, the label is also very well known for its club
nights. This all started at the nightclub 'The End', and lasted 11 years till the
club's closure in December 2008. Moving on from The End to super-club
Matter in February 2009, Ram's attendees tripled from 1000 to over 3000
people within 2 months and lasted till Matters closure in June 2010. Ram's
new home is Fabric nightclub in Farringdon, London.
• In 2002 RAM launched a sister label called Frequency. RAM launched
another sister label to celebrate a double decade of RAM. The label is
called Program and is a different taste of music compared to RAM. In 2013
Program will release its first volume called Programed, it features songs
from Nitri, Audio & Meth, EastColors and Paul B.
• Our label is a Niche label because it is a Drum and Bass label. This gives
them a singular target audience, helping them distribute and advertise in
the right areas to focus on their audiences.

4. Chase and Status
• Saul Milton and Will Kennard, producing under the name Chase & Status, have achieved
in 5 years, and the highlight of their young career, a debut LP ‘More Than Alot’ which has
helped turn them into a unique urban phenomenon, and the biggest crossover act to
come out of the underground since Pendulum.
• They met at Manchester University through their mutual love of drum and bass
in the mid nineties and have DJ’d together ever since, waiting until 2004 for
their first production, a remix for Future Cut (better known these days for their
production work with Lily Allen).
• Despite a high volume of releases on Ram Records and constant DJ
work, Chase & Status managed to mastermind and release their debut album
last year. Packed with the kind of drum and bass anthems that helped build
their reputation, it also features tracks which show the diversity of their work:
such as ‘Pieces’ featuring Plan B.
• Looking forward to 2010, Chase & Status have signed a major record deal
with Vertigo on Mercury Records, owned by Universal Music Group and have
already started working on new material for their second album, the first fruits
of which entitled ‘End Credits’ featuring Plan B again. This is that song: End
