Thomas Jefferson was the main author of the Declaration of Independence. He was the third president of the United States of America. Jefferson was a member of the Continental Congress and represented Virginia. Thomas Jefferson
The Louisiana Purchase was bought for $60 million from Napoleon Bonaparte. It consisted of Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska and parts of Minnesota. It was signed on April 10, 1803 in Paris by Robert Livingston, James Monroe and BardeMarbois. Louisiana Purchase
On July 4, 1803, the Louisiana Purchase was announced to the public.   1803
