0:00 – 0:30 –
The video starts with an ECU of
a man‟s closed eyes. They open
and the camera cuts to a MS.
This reveals that he is in an
orange prison suit and is in
handcuffs. He stares at the
camera for a couple of seconds
before you hear a cell door
slide open. The camera then cuts
to outside of the prison cell
where you see him exiting with a
prison guard holding onto him
(TS). They wait for a second
before a door is opened and he
is led through a crowd of
journalists. (High angle shot of
him being led out). He is hit
with a flurry of flashes.
Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide,
No escape from reality.
Open your eyes,
Look up to the skies and see,
I‟m just a poor boy, I need no
sympathy
The opening segment where he is
looking into the camera before
the cell door opens should last
approximately 15 seconds.
When he comes out the scene is
slowed down. There will also be
emphasis on his orange jumpsuit.
Everything else will be in black
and white excluding the flashes.
A dolly rig will be required for
the high angle shot of him being
led out.
For this there will need to be
a colour effect placed in the
scene, most likely during post
production. Alternatively the
scene could be filmed in black
and white with the orange
jumpsuit superimposed
afterwards.

There is a MS of the prisoner
being led toward his van. There
will be CU’s of camera flashes
followed by CU’s of the
prisoner‟s face wincing at the
flashes. He will be placed in
the van and the camera will zoom
(at an average speed) from a MS
of him sitting in his van to an
ECU of his eyes. They will close
then they will open. It will
then cut to a LS to show he is
now standing in a dock.
1:00 – 1:30 –
There will then be a MS of the
judge speaking before quickly
going to a CU of his hands. He
will open a booklet which will
contain the heading „HOMICIDE‟,
a picture of a dead body and the
mug shot of the main
character/prisoner. The camera
will cut to each of the three in
quick succession. The camera
will show a LS of the characters
mother crying, before zooming
out and enhancing to show CU of
a tear running down the
characters cheek.
4.
1:30 – 2:00 – There is then a MS
of a jury member standing up and
reading out the verdict
(Guilty).The prisoner moves
forward shaking his head but is
pulled back by a guard (LS).
There is then a MS of the judge
stamping „DEATH‟ onto the top of
a file before hitting his gavel.
There is a MS of his mother
crying followed by a MS of the
character crying. He wipes the
tears from his face and exhales.
Because I‟m easy come, easy go,
little high, little low
Anyway the wind blows doesn‟t
really matter to me, to me
Mama, just killed a man
Put a gun against his head,
Pulled my trigger, now he‟s dead
Mama, life had just begun,
But now I‟ve gone and thrown it
all away
Mama, ooh,
Didn‟t mean to make you cry
For the enhancement, the camera
will simply have to be zoomed
out and adjusted accordingly.
If I‟m not back again this time
tomorrow,
Carry on, carry on as if nothing
really matters
Too late, my time has come

2:00 – 2:30 – There is a LS of
him being led down from the dock
by the guards. There is then a
MS of him waving to his mother.
When he is out of the courtroom
there is a CU of him being
placed in handcuffs. He looks
down at them (MCU), looking
distraught. He then gets back
into the van and has gone pale
and he is crying. There is a CU
of his hands shaking followed by
a CU of his face. The camera
cuts to black and „1 year later‟
appears on screen.
2:30 – 3:00 –The main character
sits on his bed reading (MS). He
has a scruffy beard and
scratches on his face. It then
cuts to a close up of his hands
which are shaking and reveals
that the book is the bible (CU).
He places it on his bedside
table (MS) and rubs his hands
through his hair before putting
his head in his hands (CU).He
then lies on the bed on his side
with a MS of him. He then turns
over and puts his hands on his
face (CU). He then realizes the
presence of someone and his
facial expression falls neutral
(CU).
Sent shivers down my spine,
Body‟s aching all the time.
Goodbye everybody, I‟ve got to
go,
Gotta leave it all behind and
face the truth
Mama, ooh (anyway the wind
blows)
I don‟t wanna die
I sometimes wish I‟d never been
born at all
(Guitar solo)- Purely music

3:00 – 3:30 – He sits up (MS)
and it cuts to the silhouette of
an angel type person in the
doorway (WS). The person reaches
out and so does the character
(TS). Just as they are about to
link hands (CU) he wakes up and
sits up in his bed (MS). He then
jumps at the sound of thunder
outside his cell window and
swings his legs around so he is
sitting on the edge of the bed.
Getting up, he walks over to the
open hatch in his door cell
(bird’s eye view). He then
mouths the words (CU of him
looking through the door): “I‟m
just a poor boy from a poor
family”. The camera then cuts to
a group of protestors (WS) in
the reception/waiting area of
the prison. One of them mouths
the words: “He‟s just a poor boy
from a poor family, spare him
his life from this monstrosity”.
I see a little silhouette of a
man,
Scaramouche, scaramouche, will
you do the fandango?
Thunderbolt and lightning,
Very, very frightening me
(Galileo) Galileo
(Galileo) Galileo
Galileo Figaro
Magnifico
I‟m just a poor boy from a poor
family,
He‟s just a poor boy from a poor
family,
Spare him his life from this
monstrosity
For the silhouette, a simple
bright light behind someone
should suffice, or lighting
editing during post production.
Also, the thunder and lightning
should be a mix of lighting and
post-production sound effects.
For the birds eye shot a dolly
rig and a steady-cam will be
required.

3:30 – 4:00 – A guard is seen
briefly walking up to the door
down the corridor(WS) before the
character mouths the words “Will
you let me go” through the cell
door‟s hatch(CU) The guard
replies: “No, we will not let
you go”(CU)
Protestors in the reception then
say: “Let him go”. The guard
then tells the character: “We
will not let you go”. The
protestors say: “Let him go”
once more and are becoming
increasingly violent, pushing
the guards. The guard tells the
guard tells him once again “We
will not let you go”
The following will then occur on
opposing sides of a cell door.
Prisoner (CU) looking scared and
distraught: “let me go!”
Guard (CU): “Will not let you
go”
Prisoner (CU): “Let me go!”
Guard (CU): “Will not let you
go”
The prisoner then walks back to
his bed and sits on it (WS)
saying “no,no,no,no,no,no” as he
walks to it.
The prisoner then says “Mama
mia, let me go” to himself
before lying on his bed. He
closes his eyes (ECU) and then
opens them again.
Easy come, easy go, will you let
me go?
Bismillah, no, we will not let
you go
(let him go) Bismillah! We will
not let you go,
(let him go) Bismillah! We will
not let you go,
(Let me go) will not let you go
(let me go) will not let you go
(Never, never, never, let me go)
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
(oh mama mua, mama mia)mama mia,
let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside
for me, for me,

4:00 – 4:30 – The camera has an
ECU of his terrified eyes before
cutting to a WS, showing dozens
of guards brutally pulling him
and pushing him around. There is
a barrage of camera flashes
coming from multiple angles
making him wince and recoil. The
guards pull him and push him
past a group of crying mourners
(WS) before pushing him to his
knees. He looks up (CU) crying
and scared. He looks up to see
another version of himself with
a deadpan face standing on
gallows (LS). There is then a CU
of the prisoner looking
terrified.
For me,
4:30 – 5:00 – He stands up and
there is a split second CU of
the other version of himself
falling through the trapdoor and
being hanged. The prisoner walks
forward (the hanging man is in
the background) before he falls
into a hole of darkness. (Birds
eye view of him falling down it)
He slowly disappears into the
darkness. The darkness remains
for 5 seconds. The camera slides
across from the black to him
sitting on his bed reading the
bible, looking calm (WS). The
cell door then opens and there
is a CU of him holding the
bible. He bends the page at the
top and puts it to the side. He
stands up and there is a WS of
him standing in his room, he
cracks his neck and then
exhales.
Just gotta get out,
(hard rock guitar)
So you think you can stone me
and spit in my eye?
So you think you can love me and
leave me to die?
Oh, baby, can‟t do this to me
baby,
The scene is quite fast-paced
and will require numerous
cameras to capture different
angles.
Just gotta get right out of here
(music)
A stand in will be required so
the prisoner and his imagined
self can be in the same scene
together.
A steady-cam will be needed for
the sliding shots.

5:00 – 5:30 – There is a CU of
him being placed in handcuffs
and being patted down for
weapons. He is then led down a
corridor (WS) with guards on
either side of him and then into
the execution room. There is a
WS of people watching, many of
whom are crying. He is placed in
his seat and there are various
CU’s of the guards tying him to
the chair. Next, he breathes and
closes his eyes (CU). A guard
then places a hood on him. One
guard nods to another (CU) who
looks up at a clock (CU). It is
approaching 10 o‟clock exactly.
The camera then slowly zooms
backwards down an empty corridor
(WS) before cutting to an empty
reception (WS) with the camera
once again slowly zooming back.
12. 5:30 – 6:00 – The final shot is
of a road leading down to the
prison entrance (LS). Trees are
on either side of the road and
leaves are falling off them. The
screen cuts to black after the
last lyrics are spoken: “Anyway
the wind blows”.

A dolly rig and steady-cam will

smoothly. This applies to the
next scene as well.
Anyway the wind blows
