Edouard Daladier was a French politician who served as Prime Minister of France from April 1938 to March 1940. As Prime Minister, he pursued a policy of appeasement with Nazi Germany and signed the Munich Agreement in September 1938, ceding the Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia to Germany. However, Daladier was unable to stop German aggression and France entered World War II after Germany invaded Poland in September 1939.
