Verizon's share of the US smartphone market grew in the last quarter while AT&T's declined, but AT&T still leads in proportion of customers using smartphones. Verizon executives meet regularly with Google executives to discuss the latest Android software and hardware partnerships. Verizon is heavily promoting Android phones like the HTC Droid Incredible and plans new Motorola Android phones and an Android tablet to counter the iPad.
