7. EB3 The Program
Under the current US immigration process,
approximately 100,000 ‘green cards’ (permanent
residency status) are issued annually. A large portion
of these cards is issued to applicants to fulfill the labor
shortage in the US farming industry. In order for
potential workers to apply for green cards, labor
shortage must be legitimate. In addition, sponsoring
companies must meet specific requirements which
include the ability to offer predetermined and
prevailing compensation to the laborers.
