Cannabis “less dangerous” – Oh the Joy!
Halleluiah! Our international overlords have bestowed the peasantry with the most previous gift in this chaotic
Clusterfuck of a year – 2020!
At least – this was what is being reported and circulated in mainstream news outlets around the world. Like this
headline from a New York Times article (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/02/world/europe/cannabis-united-nations-
drug-policy.html), “U.N. Reclassi es Cannabis as a Less Dangerous Drug”,
According to the article headline, you’d think that this was a major win for cannabis, but as with the devil – we need to
take a closer look at the details. One of the important things to look at for example is the following phrase, “for medical
purposes” meaning that the UN did not in fact decriminalize ‘cannabis’ as a whole – but simply hinted that cannabis has
medical value.

Additionally, seeing that the U.N is the great “recommender” meaning that their policies act only as a measurement of
global politics as opposed to anything really signi cant. If you don’t believe me, just look at the WHOs handling of COVID
– they can only suggest, never enforce.
But surely this should have ‘some’ impact on the global state of cannabis? Of course, the fact that the U.N shifted their
stance on cannabis and removed “marijuana for medical use” from the 1961 Single Convention of Narcotic Drugs
(https://www.unodc.org/pdf/convention_1961_en.pdf) – but does this mean cannabis for recreational use is still
considered part of the document.
One thing I know for certain is that “language matters” when it comes to legal documents like this. If it’s only “for
medical purposes” – then we know that it’s not a move for “the freedom of people” but rather to grant clemency to the
medical community to research it. Who is the main participant in the medical arena?
Pharma of course – and CBD is the most precious jewel right now.

Let me quote the UN themselves so no one thinks I’m hawking conspiracy theories,
“With a vote of 27 in favour, 25 against, and one abstention, the CND has opened the door to recognizing the medicinal and
therapeutic potential of the drug, although its use for non-medical and non-scienti c purposes will continue to
remain illegal. According to news reports, the decision could drive additional scienti c research into the plant’s medicinal
properties.” - UN OFFICIAL NEWS (https://news.un.org/en/story/2020/12/1079132)
Why we shouldn’t celebrate this decision!
If there’s one thing you have to know about the U.N is that they seek control. If you don’t believe me, let me quote the
1961 Single Convention of Narcotic Drugs directly,
“…a plenipotentiary conference for the adoption of a single convention on narcotic drugs to replace by a single instrument the
existing multilateral treaties in the eld, to reduce the number of international treaty organs exclusively concerned with control
of narcotic drugs, and to make provision for the control of the production of raw materials of narcotic drugs.” – 1961

Essentially, they wish to monopolize international drug policy according to their “international standards” that have
always viewed plant medicine as a pathological activity. In other words, their opinion on drug use is that it is “bad” and
they “must control it” to “save you from your self”.
Please someone explain to me how that is not 100% about control. In fact, the document is essentially a claim on the
international community they “they don’t own the rights to dictate what goes into their bodies”.
While these rulings may not have any legal hold in any country, it is the standard that most countries base their drug
policies on. In fact, cannabis was places on this list by the US delegation, last minute – it wasn’t even originally meant to
be included.
HOWEVER – the fact that cannabis was included in this list is not the issue. The issue comes down to a handful of
people, roughly 60-years ago got together and decided for everyone that “drugs are bad” and that the international
community “must behave accordingly”.

Why do you think Uruguay legalizing cannabis made such a stir – or why Canada’s legalization made ripples in the
international communities? It’s because of this particular document that has been the “status quo” in terms of
international drug policy.
Now, after nearly 60 years of their shitfuckery we’re supposed to celebrate that they nally deemed cannabis for
medical purposes “not a crime” – but any other drug consumption should still be punished to the full extent of the law.
In places like the Philippines, that could mean death – but sure, the “law” is meant to keep us safe.
The U.N just as responsible for all Drug War Deaths
The mere fact that in 2020, when we’re talking about human rights and equality – that the Drug War is still considered a
valid policy. It only goes to show how disconnected these bureaucratic parasitic cunts truly are.
All I can hope for is that this year, people awake to the fact that politicians and public “servants” are not the standard for
how we should live. It’s time we don’t talk about legalizing cannabis anymore – but ending the War on Drugs entirely.
If in 60-years you couldn’t stop the curb of drugs, and the legal drug market killed more people than the illegal drug
market – well, I think it’s safe to say that there is inherently no value in this approach.
To our international overlords – we never needed your permission. We have no kings or queens. We – the cannabis
collective, have always been in opposition of your draconian ways.
