Assessment 2009
This year’s property assessments are in the mail — and this year, 1911 Skyview Cres, Lumby BC
they contain good news. The envelopes winging their way towards
to 1.85 million owners in BC, will contain something $ 107,000
unprecedented: assessment notices that give the market value of
the property for both July 1, 2007 and July 1, 2008.
The lower of these two values is the official 2009 property
assessment. For most properties, this means there will be no
change between the 2008 and 2009 assessment. In fact, a full 94 per
cent of property owners in BC will receive either identical or lower
assessed values in 2009, compared to last year.
