1. Constructing High Quality MPF Portfolios
Objective
This course aims at demonstrating the techniques for improving MPF sales with
portfolio approach and behavioural finance and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Riding on modern portfolio theory and investment psychology experience, it is able to
enhance the return and reduce the risk by combining several funds listed on the MPF
choices from one intermediary or several intermediaries. This is particular important
under the emerging ECA scheme, in which a customer can direct his own MPF
contributions to the intermediary who delivers high quality services and products that
match the customer’s investment objectives.
In addition to traditional risk-return allocation strategies, this course also incorporates
the techniques of behavioural finance which aims at overcoming the psychological
barrier of many investors. Moreover, latest suitability assessment guidelines from the
MPFA and SFC will be addressed.
