My Story
I just want to share with you a little about why I am doing this blog, and a little about me. I’m
certainly not going to write my whole story, because otherwise I’ll be here all day (and night).
In the course of the past six years, I have researched ways of staying healthy! To be honest, it was
done for entirely selfish reasons. I now have this urge to share what I’ve learned, so you can benefit
from my research!
My philosophy is that our bodies want to be healthy, and if we can give our cells what they need,
and don’t give them what they don’t need; we improve our chances of staying healthy. I am also
fascinated by the use of Energy medicine – of finding where our energies are blocked, and free
them so that we can be happier and healthier. I am neither a traditionalist nor an altie (new word
learnt yesterday meaning someone who is ‘into’ alternative health) – but I like to take the best of
both worlds. I firmly believe that we are responsible for our own health. We are the people who
know our bodies best. It is up to us to learn how to understand how best to look after ourselves.
Part of my journey included a 17 day stay at Sanoviv Medical Institute in Mexico – a truly
wonderful experience, and I am keen to share some of the health tips I learned from there. We were
there because my husband Robert had been diagnosed with a neurological disease. Sadly, he died in
2008. This has given me an additional impetus to sharing health tips with you.
I am not a Doctor or a Scientist – in fact I am a Computer Analyst – so I won’t be trying to explore
they whys and wherefores. My aim is to start you on the path. I give you enough information to
learn and use a technique. If, for your own satisfaction, you want to know the ‘whys and
wherefores’, then I’ll give you pointers to people who write at a greater depth, and from whom I
have learned so much. If anything is not clear, please put in a comment, so that I can clarify. If one
person has a question, it is likely that others have that same question too.
My desire is for us to be so in tune with our bodies that they serve us well every day of our lives. I
personally do NOT subscribe to the philosophy that getting old means slowing down or getting sick.
Our cells renew themselves constantly – almost all of our cells are replaced every year, some more
frequently – like our stomach lining every four hours. The only exception is our bones and even
they are replaced every 2.5 years. So – there‘s no excuse – today is the first day of the rest of your
life – come on a journey of discovery with me!
