March 1, 2012 - Newark, NJ - The Institute For Entrepreneurial Leadership (IFEL) will host its
Next Level Conference and 5th Annual Business Plan Competition Awards Luncheon on
March 29, 2012. IFEL is an independent, not-for-profit organization that supports economic
development through entrepreneurship. The IFEL Next Level Conference and Competition
Awards Luncheon is a full day event that kicks-off with six workshops and wraps up with IFEL
announcing the winner of the 5th cycle of its acclaimed annual Business Plan Competition.
The IFEL Next Level Conference will be held at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT)
Campus Center, located at 150 Bleeker Street, Newark, NJ. The conference begins at 8:30am
and includes workshops on topics that will help entrepreneurs and small business owners
take their businesses to the next level. Attendees will learn strategies to grow their business
and have opportunities to network with established entrepreneurs and small business
experts. Workshops include Small Business Bootstrapping, The Reality of Social Media,
Maximizing Resources: Collaborations for Non-Profits, Avoiding Burnout: Balancing Work/
Family/Play, Becoming an Expert: The Micro-Niche Method, and Building a Strong Company
Culture.
Bryan Janeczko, founder of WickedStart, a company dedicated to helping small business
owners and early-stage entrepreneurs realize their dreams of starting and growing a business,
will deliver the keynote address. Janeczko also co-founded Nu-Kitchen, a highly successful
retailer of healthy prepared meals. Nu Kitchen was sold to Nutrisystem in 2008. The IFEL 5th
Annual Business Plan Competition Awards Luncheon begins at 12:30 pm and will feature 3-
2. minute investor pitches from the five finalists in this year’s Business Plan Competition.
Attendees of the Business Plan Competition Awards luncheon will dine among small business
experts, stakeholders, Newark Municipal Council members and other community leaders,
presenting them with further pitching and networking opportunities.
The winner of the IFEL 5th Annual Business Plan Competition will be announced at the end of
the luncheon and will be awarded a prize package valued at over $30,000. The prize package
includes a cash prize of $10,000, a digital branding package from websignia, a one year IFEL
membership, a diagnostic assessment from B2B CFO, and legal consulting from Porzio,
Bromberg, and Newman P.C.
