About the Show and Who We Are
Eco Chic Craftacular is an alternative juried show that will feature over
60 independent handmade crafters and artists to show and sell their
wares. Vendors looking to enter the event are required to have 50% of
their items considered eco-friendly. Visitors will have a chance to ob-
serve and be inspired by how local artists combine traditional skills
with eco-friendly materials and methods. They will also be able to
peruse alternative offerings such as vegan lip balm, clutch purses
made with vintage fabrics, and upcycled home décor items.
This annual show, affectionately named “Columbus
Craftacular”, will be run by the Etsy street team, Etsy
Team Columbus (ETC). The team was established in
2008, for the purpose of allowing Columbus area art-
ists and crafters who sell their handmade art and
wares on the popular Buy/Sell Handmade site Etsy
(www.etsy.com), to communicate and collaborate on a
regular basis. We are now a team of over 60 strong
and have established ourselves as an integral part of
the Columbus, Ohio artistic community!
Sponsorship Opportunities
Etsy Team Columbus (ETC) is promoting the Eco-Chic Craftacular in conjunction with Whetstone
Community Center and we are looking for sponsors that will help in this endeavor to make the show a
big success. Show dates are May 22 and 23, 2010.
Sponsorship benefits both your business and our event. Your
business will have visibility on our various marketing materials and
in turn will be promoted in line with the eco-friendly theme of the
event. This year, we are very excited to have received a grant from
Etsy for this event and will receive editorial coverage via Etsy’s
Storque newsletter that goes out to a large percentage of Etsy’s
hundreds and thousands of sellers and buyers. We will also have
printed materials such as postcards, flyers, programs, posters and
print advertisements in local publications. For traffic driven to the event website
(columbuscraftacular.com), sponsor logos and links to websites and blogs will be displayed so visitors
have the opportunity to learn more about your business by heading to your site. We
will also market via our Twitter and Facebook pages leading up to our event and
include sponsors names to help build awareness and bring traffic to your website.
Last but not least, it helps to know that a good portion of your money goes to-
wards supporting Local Matters (www.local-matters.org) whose mission is to
transform the food system to be more secure, prosperous, just and delicious

with strategic community partnerships.
