1. CIA UFO COLLECTION
This CD contains all 278 files that make up the official CIA UFO Special Collections (See the CIA
UFO Collection elsewhere on this CD). This group of files, are files the CIA identified later as
having some bearing on UFO's. For example, the two reports dealing with the Soviet Atomic
Engery Program are of value as they clearly show the USSR had hopes of developing Atomic
Power for air and space craft. Remember, The U.S. Government felt at the time of these reports,
the UFO's could be of Soviet origin. If so, they would require some form of advanced power
plants and it was felt that this could be accomplished by the use of Atomic Power.
The Saigon Base Report on page 17 makes reference UFO sightings in the II Corps Region of
Vietnam. While the report suggest these might be enemy helicopters, having served in Vietnam, I
find this very diffcult to believe. Also, at this time in our history UFO's were often referred to as
helicopters when we knew quite well they were not helicopter, but were something we had no
"earthly" explanations for.
Finally, the documents were collected for some purpose. A required purpose. Someone had to
take these raw field reports and produce some type of finalized "Intelligence Product." The
finalized intelligence product on the collected field reports has yet to surface. This information
(finalized Intelligence Product) would answer many unanswered questions. The reports were
required to be collected and processed. Therefore, somewhere within the CIA there MUST be
some form of finalized intelligence prouct. Only time will tell and that day may not be far away
