2. 2. UFO Intro

Many people have claimed to be the first ones to have seen a UFO. However, in June of 1947 there was the first realistic and trusted reported sighting of a UFO by a pilot. His name was Kenneth Arnold and he was from the United States. His story seems to be real , but could it just be a made up fantasy. This was the beginning of the UFO era.

 3. 3. Kenneth Arnold’s Story

Arnold was a regular pilot looking for a broken down C-46 to try to earn some extra cash. Arnold never did end up finding C-46, but he did encounter something that no one has seen before. His story started like this… Arnold was just making a 180 degree turn and then bright flashes of light blinded his eyes. Arnold frantically turned around and around looking for the source.

 4. 4. Kenneth Arnold’s Story

As Arnold was looking around, the light blinded him so he thought he was going to run into another plane. Then all of a sudden a light appeared in the west. He then saw nine objects, one above the rest. They streaked across the sky heading from one mountain to another. He watched their progress and calculated their speed at 1700 miles per hour, but quickly subtracted 500 miles per hour from that speed. Still their was no object that could come close to the speeds of over 1200 miles per hour. This was a mystery that would never be solved.

 5. 5. Recent UFO Sighting

A more recent sighting took place on January 5, 2009 by multiple people in Morristown, New Jersey and other surrounding cities. There was five red orbs that floated across the sky that was captured by many photos and videos. Many other red orbs have been reported in the past. This was the most reported UFO sighting in the past five years.

 6. 6. Area 51

Area 51 started out being a Army Air Corps runway base in the middle of Nevada. After World War II the runways were abandoned. Later in the 1950s, the CIA in partnership with Lockheed to create many advanced surveillance aircrafts. Area 51 was picked because it was far enough away from society and was out of the paths of commercial fights, yet easy to access by military planes. Lastly, it was a large enough to hold many large hangers and planes.

 7. 7. Area 51 Continued

The Construction began with the CIA and Kelly Johnson of Lockheed. The groups had an area of Area 51 called Groom Lake restricted from all air travel. In 1977 the base was some how photographed by the U.S.A. Geological Survey and was released to the public. In the early to mid nineties Area 51 became the place it is known for today, being the UFO capital of the world.

 8. 8. My Opinion

In my opinion, I don’t believe that there are any UFOs currently being held at Area 51 or any other base. Not to say that it would be impossible, but it is very, very, very, unlikely that there would be a “spaceship” from another planet on Earth. Maybe sometime in the future there will be more evidence to convince me that UFOs are present on this planet.
