This document promotes Cleanfire, a fuel additive, describing its benefits as improving power, fuel economy, easier starting, cold weather performance, engine smoothness, fuel storage life, water dispersion, fuel system lubrication, compression ratio, and valve/piston cleaning. It explains issues caused by removing sulfur from diesel and how Cleanfire solves problems from ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel. Testimonials praise Cleanfire for reducing gelling, easier starting, quieter running, 3.2 mpg improvement, removing water from filters, smoother performance, 2 mpg increase, and lower soot levels.

63. Testimonials From our experience with the use of this product we believe that it helps reduce gelling up, engines start easier and run quieter, and on our Ford F250 we are getting 3.2 mpg better since we began using the product. A&R Construction I want to tell you of the results I have had from using Cleanfire additive. I could tell almost immediately that the “diesel knock” had quieted down, and having used Cleanfire for almost 3 months that the diesel knock cannot be heard. I had my reefer unit serviced in Dodge City, KS at Kindsvater Carrier in April due to a loss of prime to the fuel pump. The mechanic there told me that the reason for the prime was the ULSD, and to run some sort of additive in the unit at ALL times. The ULSD has been causing problems with the fuel system and o-rings. He installed a check valve kit and replaced some plastic o-rings with brass o-rings and have no had a problem since. I believe in Cleanfire in helping solve the ULSD problems of very little lubricating features. I will continue to use the product in both my truck and reefer. Milton Oesch owner/operator I’ve been using Cleanfire for the last 10,000 miles in my 2007 Dodge Ram Cummins and I’ve had great results with it. First, I have not had one drop of water purged from the fuel filter since I started using Cleanfire, where before I would always have some amount of water when I would periodically drain it. My engine runs noticeably smoother than before, and I’ve seen about a 2 mpg increase in fuel mileage. I plan on running at least 500,000 miles on this truck and I’m convinced Cleanfire is a premium additive that will get me there. Seth I have been using Cleanfire for the last three months. My Chevy Duramax has gone from 14 mpg to 17 mpg, I will continue to use the product. Roy R. This product pays for itself! My truck starts better and runs smoother. The soot levels in my oil samples have gone down. Stan B.

Editor's Notes
Company background and how we foundCleanFire
Most fuel is less than 15 ppm max while 5 is the norm
Fuel degrades after 28 days, new fuels gels differently. Water increased as trade off to take out sulfur which leads to algae problems. Problems with new fuel blended with old fuel. New fuel gels in a narrower range
Fuel manufacturers meet the minimum requirements when producing fuel. They could produce a better product, but have no incentive to do so as they sell more fuel the current way. Fuel is constantly changing; by season and distribution point. (i.e. Texas crude varies greatly from Saudi Arabia, or Canadian crude). Additives are supposed to be added, but aren’t due to price competition.
Water in fuel must be continuously removed. Water in our sediment bowls has decreased. If you have water problems adding CLEAN FIRE right before a cold snap will not eliminate ice in your fuel. There is a difference between “gelling-up” and “freezing-up”. Most products put water into suspension which keeps it in the system relying on the filter. CF doesn’t do that it breaks it down over time which controls the water and stops algae. Won’t prevent water in fuel if not in place before water is already in fuel. Won’t kill pre existing algae. Can extend fuel for 6 months. Adds lubricity to dry fuel (#1 diesel). Double dose if expecting long periods of inactivity.
Fuel is very dry and only lubrication comes from the fuel on the top piston ring.
There is a difference in fuel filters. The engine performance will improve gradually over time as the detergent package cleans the system. Soot level in engine oil samples may rise temporarily, but then fall below original levels due to the cleaning process. Best performance is when fuel system is cleaned up prior to cold weather.
Cetane varies from 37 to 45. Boosting above 50 is not necessary. When you hear a diesel “knocking” it is either unburnt fuel or water in the cylinder.
5 different fuels from across the country were tested.
Six different fuels tested and you can see the variability between the fuels.
#1 fuel has less lubricity and is not recommended for engines. Look in your GM owners manual. #1 shouldn’t be used when temp is above zero.
Before start-up look into tank to see if clear, let engine idle then relook into tank. Many variables to gelling. Some trucks have cross over lines and do not circulate the fuel.
They claim to have everything in the formula, but how much is what is important. Can you tell it is in there? People can tell when they run out of CLEAN FIRE. They want it NOW. CLEAN FIRE has the perfect blend of ingredients, there is no more room for more of this or that with out cutting something else. This is how we can produce a premium “all-in-one” product. Store in original container and use a glass container to measure it out in. Use a fluorinated bottle or better yet glass to measure
Fuel will burn more complete.
With trucks it is common to gain 0.4 to 0.5 mpg Pick ups gain 1 to 2 or even 3 mpg.
Regeneration uses fuel to burn off contaminates before sending them out the exhaust stack. The more complete the combustion the less debris to catch in the regeneration system. Fewer regenerations equal less fuel used to regenerate and lower maintenance on system.
This product does it all and it works!! We ask customers to use the product and test it accurately and if it does not work, then don’t buy it. 90% re-order.
Be aware that one fuel supply is best whether it be a bulk tank or filling up at the same place. Filling up at multiple places with the way fuel varies will affect test results. Also there are seasonal changes in fuels that will affect the tests.
Pruss Excavation has treated over 350,000 gallons of fuel with CLEAN FIRE in the past 3 years. -16 below last year and -10 this year. We have not bought any #1 Diesel since we started using it. Our fuel consumption drops.
