Mark Dannog is currently a senior at Wai'anae High School. He is very much
involved in his school and community and has rigorously participated in many
activities on and off campus.
He has been recognized twice by Hawaii State Supreme Court Chief Justice,
Ronald Moon and the Hawaii State Judiciary, as an Outstanding Attorney during
mock trial tournaments, in the presence of Hawaii First Circuit Court Judges: Hon.
Derrick Chan and Hon. Burt Ayabe.
He is/has currently in/been in extracurricular activities at WHS. They are: the
Close-Up club, Pacific Asian Affairs Council(PAAC), the American Red Cross
club, and had previously been in the Mock Trial/Debate Team. He is also a member
of the Wai'anae High School's Parent, Teacher, Student Association. He served as a
2. Leeward District Representative to the Hawaii State Student Council, where he
also served as Chairman of it's Political Action Committee, in school year
2009-2010.
He is currently the 32nd Student Member of the Hawaii State Board of Education,
having been elected by approx. 50,000 public high school and some intermediate
school students. As the student member, he is the official representative of over
171,000 public school students in Hawaii, representing and protecting their
interests and welfare.
Mark Dannog continues to be involved in his school and community, actively
participating in service and community projects. Improving education is one of his
top priorities and he is committed to serving the students, and dedicated to
improving public education for future generations.
