The document outlines the construction process of a new branch library from April 2014 to June 2015. 3. In June, 2014, work officially began. The first
job was to drill the geothermal well.
4. July, 2014 ‒ Workers install reinforcing bars
for the branch foundation.
5. Glass containers were unearthed at the site including
(left to right) a 1920 Nu-Grape soda bottle, a WT
Wagner bottle, and a cottage cheese container.
6. August, 2014 ‒ The foundations are finished and the
under slab electric and plumbing are nearly complete.
7. September, 2014 ‒ Steel columns are installed and
cranes are used to lift the frame into place.
8. October, 2014 ‒ Exterior stud walls are
installed and sheathing is attached.
12. March, 2015 ‒ Glass installation begins and the
branch gets new fountains and a refillable water
bottle station.
13. April, 2015 ‒ The interior is taking shape and
work begins on the sidewalks and parking lot.
14. April, 2015‒ Final touches are made to the
drive-thru and book drop area.
15. May, 2015 ‒ The branch gets carpeting and a sliding
glass entry door.
16. June 18, 2015 ‒ Last minute preparations are
made before the opening.
