Charged with managing the art department for a major lamp manufacturer, creating new products, and
directing product selection for furniture and accessory markets. Oversaw a two-person team in ensuring the
quality of lamp designs and artistic work. Created, repaired, and touched up custom faux finishes for lamps
and furniture.
MICHAEL’S ARTS & CRAFTS, INC., OH & NC 1993 – 1997
Department Manager / Certified Picture Framer
Oversaw the custom-framing department with six team members involving managing inventory, scheduling
resources, creating engaging displays, merchandising products, and meeting sales quotas. Worked with
customers to create custom wall displays for homes and offices. Processed orders swiftly and accurately to
minimize delays and maximize satisfaction. Set up new store in accordance with floor plans, display
guidelines, and product availability.
