Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:38-39 discuss how the Holy Spirit will be poured out on believers. Acts 1:8 says believers will receive power from the Holy Spirit to be witnesses. Galatians 5 contrasts the works of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit, saying those led by the Spirit are not under the law.

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby
ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

3. Joel 2:28
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will
pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons
and your daughters shall prophesy, your old
men shall dream dreams, your young men shall
see visions:

4. Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy
Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be
witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, an in all
Judaea, an in Samaria, and unto the uttermost
part of the earth.

5. Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus
Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall
receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

6. Luke 24:47
And that repentance and remission of sins
should be preached in his name among all
nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

7. Ephesians 1:13-14
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard
the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation:
in whom also after that ye believed, ye were
sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until
the redemption of the purchased possession,
unto the praise of his glory.

8. 2 Timothy 2:19
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth
sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them
that are his. And, Let every one that nameth
the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

9. Galatians 5:16-24
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye
shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and
the Spirit against the flesh: and these are
contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot
do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not
under the law.

10. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest,
which are these; Adultery, fornication,
uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance,
emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings,
and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I
have also told you in time past, that they which
do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of
God.

11. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there
is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the
flesh with the affections and lusts.
