2. ACADEMIC PROJECT:
Main Project:
Project Title: Effect of finite word length on FIR filter using Microcontroller 8052
Description: To find out the error introduced by finite word length on FIR filter, a Low pass FIR filter is
designed with the help of Matrix Laboratory (MATLAB) to compare with the FIR filter implemented
on 8052 microcontroller.
Technology used in this Project: Blackman window, Hanning window and Rectangular window are used.
8052 is an 8-bit microcontroller so the word length of registers is limited to 8-bits.the filter coefficients and
the input sequence are truncated or rounded-off to 8-bit word length. The filter coefficients are convolved
with the input sequence by using microcontroller. Results of the convolution of microcontroller are
compared with results of convolution done with MATLAB.
My role in this Project:-To develop program for low pass filter using different windowing techniques, PC
B design, itching, drilling, burning of program to the controller.
Mini Project:
Project Title: Automatic water level controller
Description: To deploy computing techniques in creating a barrier to wastage in order to not only
Provide more financials gains and energy saving, but also help to environment and water cycle which in
turn ensures that we save water for our future.
Technology used in the Project:- The system used to microcontroller to automate the process of water
Pumping in an over-head tank storage system and has the ability to detect the level of water in a tank,
switch on/off the pump accordingly and display the status on an LCD screen.
My role in this Project:- PCB design, Itching, drilling, burning of program to the controller
