2. Hawaii
⢠Hawaii has a dry season (April to October) and a
rainy season (November to March.) In recent years,
however, even the rainy season has been relatively
dry as many parts of Hawaii have been suffering
drought conditions. The summer months can be hot
and humid, especially in Honolulu and Waikiki.
⢠Hurricanes are rare but the hurricane season is from
June to November. Fortunately, the last major
hurricane to hit Hawaii was Hurricane Iniki, which
severely damaged Kauai in September 1992.
3.
4. Oahu
⢠Sometimes called âThe Gathering Place,â Oahu certainly lives up to
its name. The third largest Hawaiian island is home to the majority
of Hawaiiâs diverse population, a fusion of east and west cultures
rooted in the values and traditions of the Native Hawaiian people.
Itâs this fundamental contrast between the ancient and the modern
that makes discovering Oahu so enjoyable.
⢠The clear blue waters of Kailua Beach meet the metropolitan
cityscapes of Honolulu. The historic architecture of Iolani Palace
meets the timeless memorials of Pearl Harbor. The big city of
Waikiki meets the small town of Haleiwa on the North Shore.
Whether youâre hiking atop iconic Leahi (Diamond Head), enjoying
some of Hawaiiâs best shopping, or simply unwinding on the sands
of the islandâs beautiful beaches, youâll find variety at every turn on
Oahu.
5. Oahu
⢠Oahu is generally drier on the Leeward Coast (west) and wetter
and greener on the Windward Coast (east). The resort area of
Waikiki and the surfing mecca of the North Shore offer pleasant
weather year round. Big wave surf season on the North Shore
begins in November and ends in February. World-class surfing
competitions also happen here between November and
December. During the summer, the big waves of the North Shore
subside for ideal beach going conditions.
⢠There are generally two seasons on Oahu. Winter (November
through April), when temperatures typically range in the low-70s
to mid-80s, and summer when the high can run into the low-90s.
Average air temperature ranges from 74 degrees F (23 degrees C)
to 88 degrees F (31 degrees C) with moderate humidity of 53%
during the day. Gentle trade winds keep even the warmest months
comfortable, so any time of year is a good time to visit Oahu.
6. Honolulu, Oahu
⢠Home to the State Capitol, Honolulu is the vibrant epicenter of Hawaii. Here
youâll find everything from historic landmarks and treasured monuments to
world-class shopping and a flourishing arts and culture scene. Home to the
majority of Oahuâs population, the sprawling city of Honolulu spreads
throughout the southeastern shores of Oahu, from Pearl Harbor to Makapuu
Point, encompassing world famous Waikiki.
⢠Honolulu has it all. This is the home of some of Hawaiiâs most historic places
from Iolani Palace, the Kawaiahao Church, the Mission Houses and the
treasured artifacts of the Bishop Museum to iconic landmarks like the Aloha
Tower, the King Kamehameha I Statue, the Duke Kahanamoku Statue and the
historic Hawaii Theatre. Honolulu is also Hawaiiâs hot spot for arts, culture
and entertainment. From the nightlife, live music and fine dining of Waikiki to
the art galleries and underground bars of the Chinatown arts district.
Whether youâre looking for Hawaiiâs finest museums, or Hawaiiâs finest
Hawaii Regional Cuisine chefs, the best resorts, festivals, and events, or just
some fun things to do, youâll find it all in Honolulu.

board and relax with one cocktail or beverage of your
choice.
10. Oahu Activities

nostalgic journey to the two historic places that marked the beginning
and end of the war for the United States - Pearl Harbor and the USS
Missouri. At the site of Pearl Harbor, you'll view the Arizona Memorial
where the remains of the USS Arizona lay silent beneath the waves. The
events of the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor are unfolded through detailed
narrations and photos. While at Pearl Harbor, you'll travel across the
Ford Island Bridge to the historic USS Missouri battleship, otherwise
known as the "Mighty Mo." It was on the decks of this celebrated
warship that the Japanese surrender ceremony took place, signaling the
end of their involvement in World War II. Explore the passages, rooms
and corridors on a special guided tour. From Pearl Harbor, you'll take a
drive through metropolitan Honolulu and up to the Punchbowl Crater
for a drive through the National Cemetery of the Pacific. After enjoying
the serenity and spectacular view atop Punchbowl, you'll wind through
Downtown Honolulu for a cruise through its many highlights.
11. Oahu Activities

world famous landmark. Your exploration begins
when you arrive at the ancient crater floor of Mount
Leahi, the Hawaiian name for this natural wonder.

Diamond Head as you ascend the winding trail to the
summit. You will be rewarded as you reach its peak

blue Pacific far below.

along the North Shore - Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach and the spectacular
Banzai Pipeline. Youâll stop at Kualoa Ranch for a scenic tour ride into
the Koolau Mountains overlooking Chinamanâs Hat and Kaneohe Bay. At
Dole Plantation you will learn about the history of Hawaiiâs pineapple
industry and stroll through the Plantation Gardens. In colorful contrast
to the brilliant blue of the crystalline waters, youâll also find emerald
