2. Has it got bigger or smaller? At first there was the type writer which then was gradually developed into a teletype machine which had the first ever keyboard attached to it. The actual keyboard isn’t much different in size compared to today, it may be a bit small back when it was first invented.
3. Does it use less energy than it used to? No, it uses more because the old keyboards were in type writers or teletype writers which are not powered by electricity.
4. Has the design changed to make it easier to use? Yes it has, They have put more functions onto the keyboard so you are able to do more with the keyboard. They have also made the keyboard bigger so that your hands have more room to move.
5. Who if any, invented it? Christopher Latham Sholes invented the keyboard in 1868 and in 1877 Remington Company marketed the type writer.
6. How does it work? They use switches and circuits to translate what a person types into a signal a computer can understand.
