Alto High School achieved back-to-back state championships in 2006-2007. An analysis of the school's Texas STaR Chart results showed that Alto High School had an advanced infrastructure for technology but was still developing in areas like teaching and learning as well as educator preparation and development. The school was on the verge of being advanced for leadership, administration, and instructional support.
