“2012 was another excellent vintage year for the Heathcote Wine Region, comparable to the
outstanding 2004 and 2008 vintages. The vines got off to an excellent start as a result of the
extremely wet 2011 season, which refilled the ground water, complemented by regular rain
throughout the growing season. Good summer and autumn sunshine, coupled with regular bouts of
rain, ensured both excellent quality and quantities of grapes resulting in outstanding wines from
the 2012 vintage” (local vineyard owner)
