Survey Data - Preparation
• Clean it – removing respondents that clicked on the survey link, but did
not answer any questions, etc.
• Challenges of combining the data into one file - edits to the survey
over the years
• Create an Excel file with two sets – one for all survey question data, one
for demographic questions
• Recode string data into numeric with all survey question data
• Keep data in string format for demographics
• Both data sets must be formatted identically
• Join the demographics and survey questions in Tableau
