Importance of Leadership in Driving
Social Change
Authentic leadership is paramount in driving social change, as it
fosters trust, transparency, and genuine connection with stakeholders.
Authentic leaders lead by example, embodying the values and
principles they advocate for, which inspires others to follow suit. Their
honesty and vulnerability create a relatable platform that resonates
with diverse audiences, enabling them to bridge divides and foster
collaboration.

is a widely recognized framework that guides individuals
and groups in creating positive social change.
Developed by the Higher Education Research Institute
(HERI), this model emphasizes holistic personal
development, collaboration, and values-based
leadership as essential components for driving
meaningful SOCIETAL TRANSFORMATIONS.

Leadership is viewed as a process rather than as a
position and the values of equity, social justice, self-
knowledge, personal empowerment, collaboration,
citizenship, and service are explicitly promoted.
