VidMeet Lab is a community and gathering place for those interested in broadcast and internet technologies. It implements proofs-of-concept to share results with the industry. Current projects include studying NMOS interoperability, PTP over WAN, and transmitting video over 100G nationwide WANs. The lab is managed by IIJ and provides infrastructure like datacenter racks and networking. Results will be shared at Inter BEE 2021, though VidMeet Lab itself will not have a booth.

2. WHAT IS ‘VIDMEET LAB’?

–A community who are interested in technology that are used in broadcast/Internet area
• ST 2110, ST 2022, PTP, Uncompressed/Compressed video, Dante, Ravenna, AES67, RTP, FEC, ARQ, RIST, SRT..
• From dark fiber, 400G, 100G To 5G/LTE, FTTH..
–A place to implement PoC and share the results with the entire industry
• We already have an actual results in ‘VidMeet Online’ held in 2020
• You can imagine like ‘VRT Sandbox’, ‘JT-NM Dirty Hands’
–A gathering of people who are willing to make breakthroughs through technology
• Video/Audio over IP
• Software and cloud computing
• Utilizing IP technology
• Most of our customer is broadcasters, but we would like to cultivate other users as well. 2

●Today we have some projects here
–NMOS interoperability group
–PTP over WAN research and development group
–Video over 100G-Nation-Wide-WAN group
–More to come including REMI study group and RIST/SRT GCCG study group
●Management and leaded by IIJ
–Datacenter rack, 10G Internet connectivity, PTP/mDNS aware network, access routers
●Sharing of results and demonstrations are expected to take place during Inter BEE 2021
–VidMeet Lab would not have an actual booth but VidMeet Lab members will show their own results
gained through VidMeet Lab 3
