Editor's Notes
In 2007, Vivid teamed with an experienced MSHA instructor to deliver certified refresher training in a digital format. The training plan was developed after research of federal training regulations and collaboration with MSHA. Once the training plan was approved by MSHA for online delivery, the content was created by Vivid with the assistance of mining industry safety experts, and then offered to contract employees across the country. Demand for this training led to exploration of possibilities surrounding new miner training and certification. Vivid’s mining industry managers, James Moss and Andrew Chartrand, subsequently went on to become certified Part 48 (b) instructors for purpose of building an innovative virtual live training experience to deliver critical MSHA training.
In 2012, MSHA accepted James and Andrew as instructors and approved a new training plan for virtual live training delivery. The process took six years to complete and has consistently received high praise from numerous MSHA District Managers and Auditors. Vivid currently staffs three approved instructors, and is supported by a team of knowledgeable account managers and client support specialists. Vivid maintains a close relationship with MSHA and continues to set the standard for quality
