Thanks for participating in the poll…we are now going to jump right into a closer look at our two solutions, starting with Mike and a high-level overview of NetSuite
Kathy speaking:
Thanks for participating in the poll… And now here’s Mike Fron to give us the overview of NetSuite. Mike?
NetSuite was founded by Larry Ellison and Evan Goldberg in 1998, and is a publicly traded company.
Their vision encompassed three big ideas: Offer an integrated ERP Suite of applications…
Which can be accessed via the internet, AND
Which can power the growth of companies,
While not tying them down with huge costs including hardware, software, maintenance, etc.
Today, NetSuite has a corporate presence in 12 countries, and is used by 20,000+ organizations across 150+ countries.
NetSuite has over 2,000 employees, and had $415M in revenue for their 2013 Fiscal Year.
NetSuite is recognized as the #1 Cloud ERP Suite, and is a trusted ERP platform of many leading brands.
Before NetSuite, the typical way a business might have approached its systems may have evolved like this. The Accounting Department would select their financial system, the Sales Department would select their SFA system, the Marketing Department would select their system, and the Support Department might select yet another system.
Over time, the result of this fragmented approach is what we call “The Hair Ball Syndrome” leading to
Siloed Information
Disparate Processes, and
Time Consuming Data Management Efforts
Unlike other systems, NeSuite is One Unified System for running your entire business.
NetSuite is a cloud-based ERP system that not only provides core accounting capabilities, but enterprise-class CRM, Marketing Automation, Support, Inventory, Ecommerce, and robust Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Reporting.
NetSuite pioneered a powerful role-based user experience, delivering an intuitive way for each person to manage their functional day-to-day tasks.
In addition to enabling business users such as the CEO, CFO, Sales Reps, and Customer Support, NetSuite empowers true self-service for Customers, Vendors and Partners.
With NetSuite, you can manage your entire business with one unified integrated system. This includes your website, order management, inventory management, Purchasing Management, financials accounting, payroll, CRM, marketing, business intelligence and more.

A new Project Dashboard in NetSuite gives project managers a visual, graphical analysis of the status of specific projects.
Project managers can see at a glance important key performance indicators (KPIs) such as which projects are on time, under budget and destined for success.
For those projects that are behind, you can use the dashboard to quickly drill down and identify the root cause. As team members enter information, dashboard updates automatically to provide you with an up-to-date view of the current health of your projects, while it's happening.
The dashboard can be customized easily. You can show and hide any of the charts displayed to ensure that you have the right information at the right time. And you can select the data you want to display in each chart.
Lastly,
As a project or resource manager, one of the most important aspects of your role is to monitor the allocations for each of your resources so that you can effectively balance their workloads. Some resources might be over-allocated while others might be under-allocated.
With SRC, NetSuite introduces simplified project workflow, team collaboration and resource allocation, all with drag-and-drop simplicity.
The new dynamic, real-time Resource Allocation Chart provides an intuitive visual representation that enables project and resource managers to view an individual resource's workload and availability, supporting efforts to optimize resource management.
You can now review how efficiently your resources are being utilized and whether you need to make any adjustments by viewing their workloads and availability.
The Resource Allocation Chart empowers users to manage resource allocations (edit, create, drag and drop), and search, view, match and select resources for allocation to projects.
Lastly, let’s take a look at the Project P&L capabilities of SRP.
With the new Project P&L tab in NetSuite Version 2014 Release 1, project managers benefit from having real-time visibility into costs, revenue, and margins of a project.
Such presentation of data, without having to go through the reporting engine, gives a clear picture to the project manager about financial status of individual projects – knowing whether a given project is overshooting budget or making enough margin or not.
This helps project manager’s make prudent financial decisions during the course of project planning and execution.
The new timesheet feature in allows companies to track time in bulk using timesheets rather than individual time entries.
The new Project Job Costing functionality enables companies to capture actual labor costs and post them to the GL. It gives project managers the ability to track costs down to the detail for every project.
