By modifying existing protocols in planned maintenance
and standardising supply inventory was virtually
eliminated. Da Vinci took full advantage of Camfil’s
integrated transport system reducing delivery times to
days not weeks. This eliminated stock and reduced
labour as product was delivered to point of use.
• Camfil underwriting the performance of low energy
air filters providing longer service life and reduced
energy consumption within the existing parameters
of the Air Handling Units installed.
• The no capital option of upgrading to low energy air
filters virtually means that payback periods can be
recovered in the same maintenance year thereby
not affecting precious capital budgets.
Camfil Farr has secured supply, fit and disposal contract
with Da Vinci for all sites across the United Kingdom.
Accumulated savings resulting from low energy product
procurement strategy will achieve over £170,000 per year
and over 800 tCO2e per year.
Camfil Farr has been able to demonstrate savings in
product selection, energy consumption, labour, waste
disposal and CO2. By working closely across 64 sites and
careful asset list auditing enabled accurate life cycle cost
analysis. This was aligned with the sustainability goals of
House of Fraser.
The true sustainability impact can be further improved
when assessing the supply chain and logistic impacts of
producing and transporting less volume of product.
