I knew I wanted to do this because I was very interested in sports my whole life. It wasn't an easy decision in choosing a school, but I think I made

As a young girl being the daughter of two Mexican immigrants, who came to this country to seek for a better life for them and for their children.
My main goal after graduating high school is to continue my education no matter what. As a young little girl my dream was to become a ob/gyn.

Life after high school can be one of the most difficult decisions in your life. And it is not just one decision, the college you choose can alter many
aspects of your life. When you attempt to choose a school to go to you have to take into consideration many things. You have to know the major
you want to go for, the minors, location, tuition cost, et cetera. I have so many options for the next step in my life. For this paper, however, I have
narrowed it down to two options: Miami University and the University of Cincinnati. It is a close race between the two, but based on my recent

For as long as I can remember the only things I have wanted to do with my life is build and create. As a kid I was obsessed with building Legos but

On Your Own For this POW, we are trying to make a plan financially for life after high school. I am making a budget based on an estimated income
based on my desired job and all expenses that people living on their own have to pay now. I am researching any expenses I will have to pay later in
life and factoring them into my budget.
For my job I have selected to be an electrician. Straight out of high school base pay would start at a salary of $55,000/year before tax. After tax
reduction I will have an estimated $48,067/year of bring–home income. I found this job on a job board for high paying jobs with only a high school
diploma required, it wasn't the highest paying job, but it fit my interests and had decent pay. My hours would be a normal 8 hour day except instead of
the average 9–5 I would work more so somewhere around 7 am to 3 pm. I will sometimes have to start at 7 and not get off until 5 depending on
when I finish my last scheduled job. For any overtime work after the scheduled time of a job, the average rate would be about $30.00/hour past the

and technical school in Texas. I was miles away from the comfort of family and friend back home in Maryland. This was the first time that I was truly
