“The Shoe Room” is a sobering dance performance honoring those who lost their lives under
Nazi terror during World War II. The moving performance goes beyond the idea of simple
“shoes in a room” and delves into the identities behind those who died after being imprisoned
by the Nazi regime. “The Shoe Room” may be more suitable for older audiences, but whoever
watches it will head back to their Albuquerque hotel rooms with a new perspective on life.
“Anatomy of a Murderer”
Time: Fridays and Saturdays and Thursday, February 5—7:30 p.m.; Sundays—2 p.m.

Sometimes we take on roles out of necessity, and sometimes those roles then take on us. This
exact thing happened for main character Paul Biegler in the courtroom drama “Anatomy of a
Murder.” After losing re-election for District Attorney, Biegler takes on a rather hefty first case in
his new role as a defense attorney—one of a lieutenant who allegedly murdered a bartender
who raped his wife. This is another play that may not be suited for younger audiences, but the
high levels of drama that “Anatomy of a Murder” brings at every turn will grip adults.

You wouldn’t think that a play focusing on a coin collection would be riveting—but “American
Buffalo” definitely dispels that notion! In this drama, three thieves plan to steal a man’s coin
collection, which contains the highly valued Buffalo nickel. The three men—Donny, Bobby and
Teach—think obtaining the collection will be a simple act of stealing, but they soon learn that
they are the ones that are being duped. Theater-lovers give “American Buffalo” high regard,
and the critics agree, too. The New York Drama Critics gave it the best play award in 1977. It
also received the 1976 Obie Award for Best Play. Head out from your hotel suite for the night to
see just how exciting it “American Buffalo” is for yourself!
“The King and I”

English widow Anna Leonowens arrives at the Royal Palace of Bangkok after being summoned
by the King to tutor his wives and children. The King also wants Anna to help him reinvent his
image as a tyrant. Watch as Anna and the King work together in a way that ultimately results in
mutual respect of one another.
“Noises Off”
