Methodology Developing a mathematical model for oxy fuel combustion and
carrying out experimental as well as simulation studies.
Conclusion Studied the oxy fuel combustion characterisitics of coal char.
Simulation was carried out in fluent 14.5 to verify the mathematical
model with experimental result.

2. Methodology Studying types and characteristics of demulsifiers and mechanisms
of demulsification
Conclusion Better results obtained in oil-soluble demulsifiers rather than water
soluble because this types of demulsifiers can be easily adsorbed
through the continuous phase (oil phase).
Project Title Increasing the yield of Ammonium Sulphate in Bhilai Steel Plant.

Methodology Checking the inventories and studying the different process for
increase in production of ammonia. Visited the various department
of a integrated steel plant.
Conclusion Studied different method for increasein production of ammonium
sulphate. Learnt about technology and methods used in
integrated steel plant and understood the process of iron and
steel making.
Major Project Title Fricton factor and reynolds number relation in horizontal pipe of
different cross sectional area
University National Institute of Technology, Raipur
Duration 1 Year
Methohology The pipe used is of triangular cross section and relation between
friction factor and Reynolds number and pressure drop and Reynolds
number is achieved using CFD code. The result is validated with the
experimental results.
Conclusion The friction factor decreases with increase in Reynolds number and
pressure drop increases with increase in Reynolds number in laminar
flow. The error 12.6% between CFD and experiment this error can
be considered for the minor losses occurring during the experiment
other than the frictional losses.
