The RUGGEDCOM RSL910 is a compact form factor rugged Ethernet switch with two EoVDSL2 uplinks and two gigabit SFP uplinks providing the flexibility to use copper or optical infrastructure in harsh environments.
2. The RUGGEDCOM RSL910 is a compact form factor rugged Ethernet
switch with two EoVDSL2 uplinks and two gigabit SFP uplinks providing
the flexibility to use copper or optical infrastructure in harsh
environments.
The RUGGEDCOM RSL910 is a rugged 10-port managed Ethernet switch,
supporting Ethernet over VDSL2 (EoVDSL2) and allowing up to 2.9 km
LAN segments over telephone-grade cable at up to 85 Mbps with
optional SFP slots supporting Gigabit and Fast Ethernet.
With the RUGGEDCOM RSL910 it is possible to reuse existing copper
cabling to enable rail and road operators to achieve broadband speeds
between equipment cabinets. This is a cost efficient way of converting
legacy systems into modern Ethernet-based applications which allow
reliable, low latency connectivity to control centers.
Description
3. The RUGGEDCOM RSL910 combines EoVDSL2 and SFP-slots in the same
device for a migration path from legacy 2-wire copper cabling to high
speed fiber optic or other advanced
network topologies.
Description
The RUGGEDCOM RSL910 performs well
under harsh conditions and is therefore
suitable for use in outdoor environments
where support for low and/or high
temperatures is mandatory. Besides
support for harsh environments the device
is also approved and certified for use in
transportation applications (EN50121-4,
EN50121-3, EN 45545-2 and NEMA TS2).
