1. Applied Nanotools Partners with TRTech for
its Silicon Photonics Sensor Development
Applied Nanotools Inc., an Edmonton based Nanotechnology Company
specializing in X-ray optics, E-beam lithography, Nano Pattern transfer
and Silicon photonics, is partnering with TRTech to develop an
integrated photonic testing platform for its silicon photonic devices.
Applied Nanotools is also the provider of a rapid prototyping
fabrication process for Nano-photonic devices called NanoSOI.
Given TRTech’s historical strength in photonics and optics, Applied
Nanotools is partnering with TRTech for characterizing and testing of its
silicon photonic sensors and other Nano-photonic devices.
“We are expecting to speed up the sensor product development by
leveraging the photonic testing and characterization resources available
from TRTech. The attractive value proposition of TRTech is its ability to
meet deliverables at a reasonable cost for the industry”, says Ashok
Masilamani, CTO of Applied Nanotools.
TRTech Edmonton is the host of a RF/photonic test and measurement
lab facility with state-of-the-art equipment for characterization and
testing of a wide range of RF and Photonic devices. It has recently
acquired additional RF equipment and has extensive network in place to
provide consulting and fast prototyping services.
