userwithverification asto whetherornotthere isa match betweenthe
patientandthe bloodproductat the pointof transfusion.
 Thisapplicationkeepsatrackof Transfusiondatarelatedtoa patient
(patientdetailsandunitdetails).Thisisintegratedwiththe lab software
and has bothPDA versionaswell asPC version.PDA versioncanbe used
inboth wiredandwirelessconnectivity.Patienttowhombloodsamples
are to be transfusedandthe detailsof the transfusionare transformed
fromlab to the PDA device andbasedon the detailsthe bloodsamples
are transfusedandlabel forthe sample are printedatthe bedside itself
usingBluetoothorinfraredsupportedprinterswhichisusedalongwith
the PDA.The bloodsamplesonce transfusedare uploadedbacktolab
software.Thiswill reduce the sample transfusionerrors.Thishasa
feature fornotifyingthe nurse orthe care giverwhousesthisPDA device
whena new orderhas come and theyhave to transfuse the units.
