Professor Abanish Sen decides to play a joke on his brother-in-law by disguising himself as a driver. However, his plan goes awry when his sister-in-law Sulekha grows close to the fake driver. Meanwhile, Abanish's friend Subimal poses as Abanish and falls in love with his friend's sister Basudha. After much comedy and drama, the truth is revealed and Subimal and Basudha become engaged, ending the humorous deception.

4. CHADMABESHI SYNOPSIS
It is quite strongly proved that without fun and comedy human life cannot
have any excitement. Professor Abanish Sen the central character of the
movie is a botany professor and a newly wedded. When he come to know
that his brother in law advocate Prasanta Ghosh needs a driver at his
hometown Allahabad. Abanish makes a plan to play a joke upon them. As
planned, he goes to Allahabad and gets selected as a driver after a comic
interview. Sulekha reaches at Allahabad and refers Prasanta & Labanya
that being involve in some important work, Abhinash will come after a few
days. But in between this plan, closeness between the driver & Sulekha is
noticed by Prasanta & Labanya. After facing ironical enquiry Sulekha &
Gourhari alias Abhinash get out of the place without saying anything to
anybody. On the other hand Subimal - Abhinash's friend reaches Allahabad
as Abanish and starts staying with Binay Sen (another friend of Abanish)
and his wife Latika Sen feigning anger at the absence of Sulekha who is
supposed to be his wife. Apparently Subimal falls in love with Basudha -
sister of Binay Sen. After a huge drama finally truth comes out.
Engagement of Basudha & Subimal becomes the end of the drama which
supposes to be their happily way to starting a life. Prasanto Ghosh – a
renowned barrister admits that he has been fooled.
