To Whom It May Concern:
I am the Medical Director of Transfusion Medicine. It is an honor for me to recommend Artheis Edwards
for employment with your institution. I have had the pleasure of working with her for nearly two years
when she served asSecretary of the Transfusion Medicine Department at Temple University Hospital,
supporting me and my blood bank staff. She was an asset to our department and I regret that she is not
able to stay.
Artheishas amazed me with the amount and level of work she was able to successfully manage at a time.
She not only assisted me with routine secretarial support such as scheduling meetings and luncheons,
taking meeting minutes, answering phones and taking messages. Her administrative/secretarial support
also involved collaboration and communication with leadership of other medical departments including
CT surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, Liver Transplant Team, Anesthesiology, and Hospital
Administration. She also effectively assisted me with data analysis, presentation preparation and research
project organization. Moving forward, I am confident that without Artheis, assistance toward these and
other endeavors will be drastically reduced.
Artheis is very efficient, proactive, and creativeand served well as my right hand. She is competent and
enthusiastic about all projects assigned to her. She is highly motivated to learn and adapts quickly.
Due to changes within the department, Artheis is unable to remain with us. To this end, I recommend
Artheisfor a position with your institution without any reservations. I have no doubt that she will bea
valuable asset of your institution. I would be happy to discuss Artheis’ qualifications further with you at
your convenience. I may be reached at 215-707-3341.
Sincerely,
Yanhua Li, MD
Medical Director of Transfusion Medicine
