Rejection is defined as feeling unwanted, excluded, and worthless. It can be caused by being deserted by a spouse or feeling rejected after being married young. Having a crushed spirit is difficult to bear. Rejection can result in an inability to receive and pass on love and be passed down from generation to generation. Wrong ways of handling rejection include depression, masking one's feelings, and seeking revenge. The remedy for rejection is found in Isaiah 53, which describes how Jesus took on our infirmities and sorrows upon the cross, experiencing punishment and wounds so that we could be forgiven and healed from our rejection.
